On 4 November 2024, the Australian Government released its Detailed Response to the Final Report on Future Structure and Governance Arrangements for the APVMA (Detailed Response).
The Detailed Response considers the recommendations of these reviews and outlines a pathway forward for the government’s reform agenda for the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) and Australia’s agvet chemical regulatory system.
The Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) and the APVMA are working together to implement the Detailed Response. Further information on the Detailed Response and the joint report, including a reform progress report is available on DAFF's website.
