The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) invites comment on the use of AbbeyFlor Premix Concentrate for Pigs (81128) containing florfenicol for use on Atlantic salmon.
We invite written comment from 8 October 2025 to 22 October 2025 on the trade implications of this proposal.
The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds for the assessment, which are the trade implications of the use of the product. The Trade Advice Notice provides a summary of the APVMA's residue and trade assessment.

Submissions received
The APVMA sought comments from interested stakeholders on the proposed use on the use of AbbeyFlor Premix Concentrate for Pigs (81128) containing florfenicol for use on Atlantic salmon, in a consultation that closed on 22 October 2025.
Four submissions were received during this consultation which were not related to the risk to trade from the use of florfenicol on Atlantic salmon.
