Consultation period
10 February 2026 to 10 March 2026

The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is considering an application for the registration of the product Actavan® Bio Plant Defence Elicitor, containing 900 g/L of sugar beet extract, as a soluble concentrate (SL) formulation. The product is for use in wine and table grape, to enhance the plant defences, increasing their resistance to botrytis infection.

We invite comment from 10 February to 10 March 2026 on whether registration of the product should be granted.

The APVMA is able to consider comments relating to the legislative grounds, including:

  • occupational health and safety
  • public health
  • chemistry and manufacture
  • residues in food
  • environmental safety
  • trade
  • efficacy and target crop safety
