Maneb (manganese ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate) (polymeric) is an agricultural fungicide formerly used in Australia for the control of a wide variety of fungal diseases in fruits, vegetables, and ornamental plants.
There are no products containing maneb currently registered for use in Australia.
Status: Review Completed
The former Australian Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals Council (AAVCC) revoked the clearance for maneb on 31 December 1990 following its decision to phase out a number of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate fungicides (EBDCs) based on the concerns over the lack of toxicological and residues data.
There are no Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for maneb.
