Rural Business retraction and apology text extract
'It is now accepted that David Leyonhjelm’s Commentary article published in the October edition of Rural Business contained allegations concerning the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) and Imtrade and their staff that are baseless and without foundation.
Rural Business now retracts the allegations and any suggestion that the APVMA's application to the Federal Court was motivated by retribution, or that Imtrade offered or that the APVMA's staff accepted bribes.
Rural Business regrets that they were ever published and unreservedly apologises to the APVMA and Imtrade and their staff for any distress or embarrassment it has caused.'
