APVMA to examine Noosa Fish Health Investigation Taskforce final report
The APVMA has announced that it will examine data and evidence related to agricultural chemicals arising from the Queensland Government’s final report of the Noosa Fish Health Investigation Taskforce.
Mixing of unregistered and off-label chemicals reported
The APVMA Compliance Team, along with its state partners to the National Registration Scheme, will be investigating reports of illegal on-farm manufacture of mouse baits.
Chemical regulator takes action against naphthalene flakes to protect human health
The APVMA has taken action to stop supply of naphthalene loose flake products used to control moths and silverfish.
Eighty chemicals banned in Europe in use here?
The APVMA has commented on claims that Australia currently has over 80 agricultural and veterinary chemicals in use that are banned in Europe.
Proposed registration of the new active pasteurella multocida Strain PMP-1 in the product Vaxsafe PM Vaccine (Living)
The APVMA invites comment until 4 August 2011 to as to whether the application for registration of pasteurella multocida Strain PMP-1 in the product Vaxsafe PM Vaccine (Living) should be granted.
MRL Standards updated
The Maximum Residue Limits Standard tables for agricultural and veterinary chemicals in food and animal feedstuff have been updated for June 2011.
Approved Active Constituents Updated
The record of approved active constituents was updated on 1 June 2011

The APVMA is currently seeking comment on:
- the amendment to the standard for the active constituent pyroxsulam until COB today
- the registration of the new active mandipropamid in the product Revus Fungicide until 21 June 2011
- the proposal to amend Standard 1.4.2 of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code until
12 July 2011
- the preliminary findings on the reconsideration of carbendazim until 5 August 2011
