Media release: Registration of endosulfan cancelled in Australia
The APVMA cancelled the registration of the insecticide, endosulfan on 12 October 2010.The five products containing the chemical will be phased out over the next two years.
Reviews of Dimethoate and Fenthion are ongoing
Reports that the APVMA has cancelled the use of dimethoate and fenthion for post harvest dipping for fruit fly control are incorrect. Reviews of both chemicals are ongoing.
Updated Maximum Residue Limits (MRL) Standards
The MRL Standard tables were updated on 14 October 2010.

Stock foods and stock food additives guidelines updated
The guidelines for stock foods and stock food additives have been updated to provide full guidance on the definition of a veterinary chemical product with particular reference to stock food non active ingredients.
