Science Fellows Symposium
The APVMA is now accepting online registrations for the Science Fellows Symposium to be held in Canberra on 30 March.
Proposed New European Pesticides Regulation
The European Parliament voted in favour of new pesticides regulations governing their authorisation on 13 January. The next step is that the new regulations need to be formally agreed by the Council of Ministers and is expected to occur in the first quarter of 2009.
APVMA Visits Herbicide Damaged Cotton Crops in Narrabri
The APVMA visited herbicide damaged cotton crops and met with cotton growers, industry and government representatives in Narrabri to discuss ongoing incidents of damage to cotton crops from off-target herbicide drift on 27 January.
Cost Recovery Review
Consultation on the APVMA's Draft Cost Recovery Impact Statement is continuing, with submissions closing on 20 February 2009. The APVMA has published comment on the impact of the proposed changes on the cost of production.
Fungicide Label Changes
Labels for all fungicide products require updating to reflect changes to activity group codes. The correct activity group and associated resistance management statements must appear on all fungicide product labels before 27 October 2011.
