Stakeholder consultation

The APVMA is currently seeking comment on a wide variety of topics and it is recommended that the APVMA Home Page and the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette – Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals be viewed on a regular basis and/or you may subscribe online for regular announcements. Subscribe here to EMAIL DISTRIBUTION LIST for announcements.

Some current topics seeking stakeholder input on the APVMA Home Page and Gazette include:

  • Proposed Registration of New Chemical Products – Public Release Summary available for comment
    • Indar Fungicide (fenbuconazole) for the control of brown rot in nectarines, and for the control of leaf spot (yellow sigatoka) and black sigatoka in bananas. Call for comment by 30th November 2004.
    • Vectolex WG Biological Larvicide (Bacillus sphaericus Strain 2362) for the control of Culex spp. and Anopheles spp. mosquitoes in stagnant and standing ponds, flood and irrigation water, ditches, storm water retention areas, tidal water and salt marshes, water with moderate to high organic content and sewerage settling ponds. Call for comment by 30th November 2004.
    • Mosi-guard Personal Insect Repellents (Corymbia citriodora) five products for use as personal insect repellents. Call for comment by 30th November 2004.
  • Chemical Review

    Maldison. The APVMA has suspended the registrations of six products containing maldison.

    Dimetridazole. Draft Report of the Review of Approvals and Registrations related to dimetridazole.
    Call for comment by 7th December 2004.

    Benomyl. The APVMA has extended the period of suspension for benomyl until 31 December 2004.
