The APVMA is currently seeking comment on a wide variety of topics and it is recommended that the APVMA Home Page and the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette - Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals be viewed on a regular basis and/or you may subscribe online for regular announcements. Some current topics seeking stakeholder input on the APVMA Home Page and Gazette include:

• Proposed Extension of Use of an Existing Chemical Product - Trade Advice Notice available for comment
  • Penncozeb 420SC Fungicide (mancozeb) to extend its use for the control of Ascochyta blight in chickpeas and lentils. Call for comment by 30th March 2004.
  • Score Foliar Fungicide (difenoconazole) to extend its use for the control of husk spot in macadamias. Call for comment by 30th March 2004.
• Chemical Review
  Closing date for submission of data for the reconsideration of approvals and registrations related to Fipronil has been extended from the previously announced date of 31 January 2004 to 31 March 2004. Gazette notice. Also refer to the Scope Review Document (September 2003).
