Stakeholder consultation


The APVMA is currently seeking comment on a wide variety of topics and it is recommended that the APVMA Home Page and the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette - Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals be viewed on a regular basis and/or you may subscribe online for regular announcements.

Some current topics seeking stakeholder input on the APVMA Home Page and Gazette include:

  • Proposed Registration of a New Chemical Product - Public Release Summary available for comment
    o Filan Fungicide (boscalid) for the control of Bunch rot (Botrytis cinerea) in grapevines. Call for comment by 4th May 2004.
  • Chemical Review
    • Dimethoate and Omethoate. The Reconsideration of Approvals and Registrations related to both dimethoate and omethoate has been announced, submissions addressing the areas of concern noted in the scope review document must be in writing and reach the APVMA by 2 July 2004.     • Fenitrothion. Draft outcomes of the Review of Approvals and Registrations related to fenitrothion. See Gazette notice and Draft Review Report
    • Benomyl. The APVMA has extended the period of suspension for benomyl until 31 December 2004. See Gazette notice.
  • Overseas trade aspects of residues in food commodities
    o Requirements Manual - part 5B - Overseas trade aspects of residues in food commodities. APVMA invites comment by 30 April 2004.
  • Adverse Experience Reporting Program
    o Adverse Experience Reporting Program for Agricultural Products Consultation Regulation Impact Statement 18 March 2004. APVMA invites comment by 23 April 2004.
