A current requirement for an application for the registration of a new agricultural chemical product is that the applicant must provide the batch analysis results, analytical method details and validation data for a batch of the active constituent (analysed within the last two years) to demonstrate conformance with relevant APVMA standard for the active constituent.
The APVMA now proposes to remove this requirement because it is a condition of registration of all agricultural chemical products that registrants maintain records of batch analysis data.
Once a new product is registered, this condition means that the product registrant must maintain appropriate batch analysis records of each batch of active constituent used in the product. The APVMA will audit these active constituent records as part of the Quality Assurance Scheme for Agricultural Active Constituents and Agricultural Chemical Products.
