NOTICE

Expiry of permit PER8528 allowing persons to deal with endosulfan products which had unapproved labels

On 4 July 2005 the APVMA issued permit PER8528.

The APVMA issued permit PER8528 with additional instructions to cover dealings with product containing an unapproved label, ONLY for product manufactured prior to 30 September 2005, as indicated on the product labels.

If this permit had not been issued, persons dealing with the products with unapproved labels would have been committing an offence under s.81 of the Agvet Codes.

This Permit has now expired (as of 30 September 2006).

All use of endosulfan MUST NOW be in accordance with the new label instructions.

Registrants have been required to provide all users with an Endosulfan Users' Notice 2005. This notice and additional information is available from the APVMA website at http://www.apvma.gov.au/chemrev/endosulfan.shtml.

Nufarm Endosulfan 350 EC Insecticide
Ensosan Emulsifiable Concentrate Insecticide
Thiodan EC Insecticide
Farmoz Endosulfan 350 EC Insecticide
