Section 38B of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Products (Collection of Levy) Act 1994 provides that the APVMA may waive, up to a maximum of $100, the whole or part of the liability to pay an amount of levy, late payment penalty or understatement penalty.
The purpose of this notice is to inform interested persons of registered products that the APVMA will generally waive the whole of the liability to pay a levy in relation to the disposals of a registered product where the total amount of levies payable on that product is less than $45 for sales made in the 2005-06 financial year or a later financial year.
Nothing in this notice would prevent the APVMA from departing from this policy in circumstances that the APVMA thought appropriate.
