Industry Technical Committee (no longer in operation)
This committee was discontinued on 24 May 2010.
After consultation with the Industry Technical Committee (ITC) and the Industry Liaison Committee (ILC), it was determined that arising technical issues could be better addressed through ILC.
To make the discussion of technical issues affecting regulatory policy, programs and performance more flexible, ILC will establish working groups on a needs basis. The working groups will draw members from ILC and other relevant experts and stakeholders to address technical issues. These working groups will provide feedback to ILC as required.
Below is the history of ITC including its purpose and objectives.
Historical purpose
The committee was created by the Industry Liaison Committee to:
- improve the functioning of the Industry Liaison Committee both for industry and the APVMA by dealing with specific technical issues

- Address specific technical issues through working groups, which were led by an industry representative where possible
- Provide technical input to APVMA guidelines, standards, operating procedures and publications for the assessment of agvet chemicals prior to their release for public consultation
